This historic Charleston property required a delicate balance: honoring its 19th-century architecture while creating a contemporary hospitality experience. The result is a 45-room boutique hotel that feels both timeless and fresh.

The lobby sets the tone with its restored original millwork, complemented by custom furnishings that reference Southern design traditions in a modern idiom. Each guest room tells its own story through a carefully curated mix of antiques, contemporary art, and bespoke textiles.

Public spaces include a courtyard restaurant, intimate bar, and rooftop lounge with panoramic views of the historic district. Throughout, I maintained a cohesive design language that respects the building's heritage while delivering the comfort and amenities today's travelers expect.
