Soho Loft
Industrial elegance meets modern comfort in this converted warehouse space.
About This Project
This SoHo loft transformation honors the building's industrial heritage while introducing warmth and sophistication. The 3,500-square-foot space features original cast-iron columns, exposed brick, and soaring 14-foot ceilings—elements I celebrated rather than concealed.
My approach balanced raw materiality with refined comfort. I introduced custom steel and glass partitions that define spaces without interrupting the flow of light. A dramatic floating staircase connects the main living area to a newly created mezzanine office.
The material palette combines reclaimed oak flooring, blackened steel, and plush textiles in neutral tones. Strategic lighting—including restored vintage industrial fixtures—creates atmosphere while highlighting the architectural details that make this space unique.
